This is the third edition of the important rebuke in which Collier catalogues the daily tasks of a working woman, both outside the home and at the end of the day. This poem was written as a rebuke to Duck's 'The Thresher's Labour'. In addition to 'The Woman's Labour' this pamphlet contains 'The Three Wise Sentences', which is a paraphrase of the tale of the Darius contest told in 1 Esdras. In this work she couples moral reformism with a certain amiable accommodationism, or compliance with the will of fathers. 

Collier was a leading figure in the self-taught, labouring class tradition in 18th century poetry.
