'A Serious Call to a Devout and Holy Life' is an important religious treatise by the Church of England priest William Law.

This work was part of the great evangelistic revival, and helped to influence those involved in the revival, and other eminent figures of the day, such as Henry Venn, Samuel Johnson, Lord Lyttelton, and Edward Gibbon.

Bound without the adverts to the rear.

Condition

In a full calf binding. Externally, rubbed, with loss of leather to the joints and to the head and tail of the spine. Bumping to the extremities. Spine is a little faded. A few minor marks to the boards. Crack to the head of the front joint, front board is held by cords only. Rear joint is starting, rear hinge is strained. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned with scattered spots.
