A scarce economic work, being a first-hand account of the court of the exchequer, written by someone who was once the Lord Chief Baron of the Exchequer.
Condition
In a contemporary calf binding. Rebacked, with the original boards preserved. Light rubbing to the extremities. Prior owner's inscription to the recto of front endpaper 'Written by Sir Jeffrey Gilbert'. Blind stamp for the 'Free Public Library Wigan' to the bottom of front endpaper. Multiple ownership inscriptions to the title page. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with occasional scattered spots, heavier to the first and last few pages.
