Scarce work. Seventh edition. A pamphlet attacking William Pultney and Henry St, John, Viscount Bolingbroke, cofounders of the weekly Craftsman, a newspaper circulating from 1726 to 1752. It was issued to eight London editions and one Dublin edition. Written by Baron John Hervey, an English courtier and political writer who was involved in many literary quarrels.

Condition

Bound in contemporary paper covered boards. Externally, very smart with light shelf wear to the extremities and the odd mark to the board. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean with the odd spot and age toning to the endpapers.
