John Quincy's popular and thorough medical dictionary, an extensive lexicon on many branches of medical professions.

The lexicon was a popular work being frequently reprinted for over one-hundred years, reaching a twelfth edition by 1802, and offers an interesting insight into the medical world as it was at the beginning of the eighteenth century.

This dictionary was partly based on Bartholomew Castellus' lexicon, which had been published almost a century earlier.
