Description

Early Edition, Leather Binding

The third edition of this work, published in the same year as the first.

A controversial travel work on Denmark, detailing the country "as it was in 1692". The author was British envoy to the court of Christian V, and revolted against the absolute monarchy of the country, using this text to preach against an authoritarian monarchy.

This was an early work in the emerging field of political science, in which Molesworth makes a case for comparative political analysis.

By Robert Molesworth, the 1st Viscount Molesworth.
