With a frontispiece, eight plates, three of which are folding, and two tables. Collated, complete. In Latin. Thoms Guidott was one of the 17th century's most prolific physical scientists. He used contemporary analytical techniques to detail and document the hot mineral springs in Bath, Somerset. Other works by him include 'A True and Exact account of Sadler's Well' and 'The New Mineral Waters Lately Found out at Islington'. This work looks at the thermal waters of Britain in general, with a section focusing on Bath from this early advocate of hydrotherapy.

Condition

In a full calf binding. Externally, generally smart with light rubbing to the joints and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with just occasional light spots.
