With an appendix containing choice knowledge in arithmetick both practical and theoretical, which has a divisional title on T4r. 

With the bookplate of 'Bibliotheca Lindesiana' to the front pastedown. This book is therefore from the Crawford Library. The Crawford Library, or Bibliotheca Lindesiana is a library of early books mostly regarding philately. 

Edmund Wingate was an English mathematical and legal writer. Wingate was the first to publish on the principle of the slide rule, and was a Member of Parliament during the Interregnum.

An important arithmetic treatise. This second edition was edited and expanded by Edmund Wingate's friend, and fellow mathematician 'John Kersey the Elder'. 

Condition

In the original full calf binding. Rebacked, with the original boards preserved. Externally, very smart. Patches of rubbing to the boards. Bookplate to the front pastedown. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with just the odd spots.
