The first work present here is the scarce first edition of this catalogue of Charles II's privy council, and the members of the peerage of England. This includes titles created following the restoration of the monarchy, after the collapse of Cromwell's commonwealth.

Bound directly after this is the first thirty pages of Thomas Dring's 1655 'Catalogue of the Lords, Knights, and Gentlemen that have Compounded for their Estates'.
ESTC Citation No. R20399. With the collation A8, B7. Lacking the majority of this work (pages 31-144), which should run to leaf L8.
With the armorial bookplate of John Lees to the front pastedown. Ink inscriptions to recto of frontispiece and rear pastedown.

In a full calf binding. Lacking back strip, and large areas of the leather to perimeters of the front board. Front board detached, with rear board tenderly held. Bookplate to front pastedown. Internally, text block split between first and second work. Frontispiece detached. Inscription to recto of frontispiece. Binding otherwise tender. Pages age toned, with spotting throughout.
