Condition

In the original reverse calf binding. Externally, generally smart, with some light marks to the boards. Front hinge is starting but firm. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are lightly age-toned and generally clean with some spots. Ink inscription to the title page and reverse of the frontispiece. Light tidemarks to some pages, mostly to the last few pages. There is evidence of past worming to the top and/or bottom margins between pages 240 and 283.
