A handsomely bound copy of Charles Knight's Half Hours with the Best Authors.

Bound in half calf leather with gilt lettering and decoration.

With two frontispieces and two plates.

Complete in two volumes.

Charles Knight (17911873) was an English publisher and author.

 

An overview of English literature split into half hour sections, designed to be read over the course of a year.

CONDITION

The bindings are tight and firm. There is slight wear to the extremities, including slight bumping. Internally the pages are clean with slight browning to the page edges, a couple of spots on the first and last few pages, and the occasional handling mark. There are ink inscriptions on the title pages. Overall the condition is very good.
