What Our Customers Say...

Description

Rebound, Scarce

Complete in five volumes. Privately printed for subscribers only. Farmer [1845-1915] was co-author of the famous "Slang and Its Analogues" but when that project ran into troubles he turned his attention to publishing scholarly pot-boilers, first a collection of bawdy folksongs in English entitled Merry, Facetious, and Witty Songs and Ballads (1895), enlarged to five volumes in 1897; then a collection of slang songs, Musa Pedestris (1896); and finally an English translation of the erotic French dictionaries.

Condition

In cloth bindings. Externally, very smart with just some minor shelfwear. Exeter Library plates to front pastedown and barcode to rear endpapers. Internally, firmly found. Pages bright and clean with occasional scattered spots.
