1985 - London - Chatto and Windus
8" by 5.5", 522pp
A first edition of Irish Murdoch's novel exploring themes of both self, and spiritual discovery.
In original illustrated dustwrapper, design by Tom Phillips.
In a cloth binding with original clipped dustwrapper. Externally, very attractive, the dustwrapper is nice and bright, with the cloth binding being generally smart, showing very little shelfwear. Internally, firmly bound, bright and clean. Overall: VERY GOOD INDEED with a FINE dustwrapper.
