Description

Folding Maps, Illustrated, Original Binding

George Chisholm (1850 – 1930) was a British geographer. His Handbook on Commercial Geography was first published in 1889. He also authored a review of Friedrich Naumann's Pan-German work on Central Europe which appeared in The Scottish Geographical Magazine issue 33, which condemned the aggressively militaristic overtones of Naumann's nationalistic work. In 1917, he was awarded the Charles P. Daly Medal of the American Geographical Society. With numerous tables, graphs and fold-out maps. Owner's inscription to front pastedown dated June [19]'09.

Condition

In a cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with bumping to head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound, bright and clean.
