Winds of Change

Harold Macmillan

First Edition

1966 - London - Macmillan

9" by 6" - 664pp

Publisher's full red cloth binding with gilt titles to spine.  In orginal dust jacket.

This is the first edition of the first installment of Harold Macmillan's six volume autobiography.  A nice clean and bright copy.

"This is the first part of a remarkable story; perhaps the most important story of our time; and there can surely be no man more ideally qualified than harold Macmillan to chronicle this last half-century, a period during which the winds of change have blown as never before....the first volume end with teh declaration of war in 1939, before Harold Macmillan ever held office." from the dust jacket.

The binding is tight and firm and both covers are firmly attached.  There is very little wear to the extremities.   The dust jacket is a little worn tot he edges with a one inch closed tear from the bottom of the rear panel.  It has been price clipped.  Internally the book is generally clean and bright apart with no obvious marks.
